Append means to "add to". In other words, you can keep adding to the list. If you select a consignor and click "List" it will show you the items sold for this consignor and if you select another consignor and click "List" then the first items are removed. If you have Append checked, then the list just keeps building.

The buttons are useful for common items that you have many of and don't want to price tag. If you program a button, you don't have to remember the item number or enter it at POS Item # box.

In OPTIONS, select tab Database Backup. First select the location of the backup. It's best that you select a USB flash drive. At first (for auto backup), make sure you select the DISPLAY MESSAGE option, to confirm the backup is actually occurring.
How should I number my items?
Fist of all, ConsignmentTill will not allow you to use the same item number twice. Second, it would be best to tag the Item Number with the Consignor Number and restart the numbering for each conignor.
Use a period between the numbers if you want to sort them numerically in lists.

How do I set up the Epson TM receipt printer to work with ConsignmentTill?
Note: If you have an Epson printer with a serial interface, then you need to use a null modem serial cable or use a regular serial cable with a null modem adapter.
You can download the driver from the TEST DRIVE page.
Comment on internal printer defaults:
Print Density: 1, 2, 3 (1)
You can see that the density defaults to the lowest on new printers (I found this too light). I recommend that you change it to the darkest (3). You will need to change dip switches at the bottom of the unit. For this, you will need to read the manual that comes with the unit. Also note, if you change the speed (bits per second) on the unit, you will need to change it in the printer driver (I recommend though, that you leave the speed as is - 9600).
What hardware can you use with ConsignmentTill?
- Barcode Scanners
- Barcode Printers (Zebra LP2824 or LP2844)
- Receipt Printers (Epson TM-88 or compatable)
- Electronic Cash Drawers (compatible with Epson Kickout code)
- Standard printer (for printing reports, laser checks, and receipts)

Can consignors use their banked money to buy products in my shop?
